

MIDDLE SCHOOL DIRECTORS

Brittany Yanniello
pronounced "Ya-nello"
Brittany Yanniello (pronounced “Ya-nello”) serves as the Jerry and Linda Moore Middle School Head Band Director. While overseeing the entire band program at Moore Middle School, she is the teacher-of-record for the Symphonic Band (Varsity Middle School Band), as well as the beginning trumpet, horn, low brass, and flute classes.
She has an extensive background in concert and marching band, having taught beginning band classes for seven years while also directing varsity, non-varsity, and sub non-varsity groups, including leading bands to Sweepstakes awards at the Texas UIL Concert and Sightreading Contests. At the Beach Within Reach Band Festival her band has received Best in Class. Her students have gone on to successfully compete in the TMEA and ATSSB All-Region Audition process as well as the TMEA Honor Band process.
Ms. Yanniello holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas and completed coursework at Sam Houston State University where she lead the SHSU Bearkat Marching Band for two seasons. Her primary instrument is the French horn. Mrs. Yanniello also marched with The Bluecoats and The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps as mellophone player and drum major while advancing to the DCI World Championships as a finalist three times. Ms. Yanniello is an active clinician in both the concert and marching activities, a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. She loves teaching in Celina, and is so proud to wear orange! Go Bobcats!

Sidney Maurice serves as the Associate Middle School Band Director at Moore Middle School in Celina ISD where she serves as the conductor of the Concert Band, as well as the instructor of beginning clarinet, double reeds, saxophone and euphonium. An Atlanta native, Ms. Maurice attended school in Marietta where she began her bassoon studies and participated in the All- State Band, Honors District Orchestra, and District Band. She attended Georgia's Governor's Honors Program in 2017 and received the John Philip Sousa Award upon graduating from high school.
Ms. Maurice has been teaching private lessons since 2016 and has also worked as a pit orchestra musician. She has been on staff with the Cobb Middle School Band Camp since 2019, now serving as one of its directors. She is also involved in Marching Arts. She has been on staff with Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Georgia and Wakeland High School in Frisco, Texas as well as been on the teaching staff and served as Drum Major for the University of North Texas Green Brigade. Ms. Maurice also assists with the Celina High School Band during the Fall marching season.
Ms. Maurice is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Music Education. She was a bassoon student of Dr. Darrel Hale, Kathleen Reynolds and Dr. Jorge Cruz, and has attended master classes with Eric Varner, Amy Pollard, and Barrick Stees. During her time at UNT she has performed with the Wind Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Music studies and has worked with Dr. Andrew Trachsel, Daniel Cook, Dr. Nicholas Williams, Dennis Fisher, and Brett Penshorn.
Sidney has professional affiliations with the Texas Music Educators Association, Mu Phi Epsilon Professional Music Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Young Band Directors of Texas.
