Dear Workshop Attendee,

Tom Johnson & I are looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Celina Finale/SmartMusic Workshop. So that we can make appropriate plans, please let us know if you plan on attending the Beginning or Intermediate Finale sessions. Here are the topics for the two sessions: 

Beginning Finale Topics

            • Writing a simple piano piece

            • Faster entry and score basics

            • Continued faster entry and score basics

            • Simple page layout

Intermediate Finale Topics

            • Creating a lead sheet

            • Creating a full score and parts

            • Creating a choral score with lyrics

            • Entering notes with a MIDI keyboard

            • Scanning and audio

            • Creating worksheets

            • Creating exercises and SmartMusic files

            • Creating files for use in general music

            • Using graphics

As you can imagine, there will be some flexibility of topics based on the needs of the attendees. However, please indicate on a returned email your preference for the Beginning or Intermediate class.

Remember to bring you own computer, we will have Finale 2011 available to install on your computer. If you would like to learn more about MIDI input and you have a MIDI keyboard, please bring it.
